If you missed the news from earlier, Alabama defensive lineman LaBryan Ray was arrested Friday evening for public intoxication. The former five-star recruit in the 2017 recruiting cycle just completed his sophomore season with the Crimson Tide.

Following news of Ray’s arrest, Nick Saban has released a statement reacting to the disappointing news.

“We are disappointed any time a player makes a choice that leads to a bad decision,” Saban said via a statement from the school. “We will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline and rehabilitation as we move forward.”

Ray was ranked as the nation’s No. 28 overall player and the state of Alabama’s No. 1 player in the class of 2017, per 247Sports Composite Rankings.
