Nick Saban sounds off on rat poison being 'worse than ever': 'Who gives a shit?'
Nick Saban talking about rat poison has become college football tradition in recent years.
The Alabama head coach enjoy using the media to get his message out, especially if he’s trying to keep the Crimson Tide players from reading too many of their own press clippings or trying to temper the expectations of fans.
Saban spoke about the rat poison on his radio show and this time it was about the dangers of looking ahead (via Mike Rodak of AL.com).
Nick Saban: “I think the rat poison this year, not to bring up a sore subject, it’s worse than ever. I’ve had more people ask me about how we’re going to do against Texas this week than how we’re going to do against Utah State.”

Alabama plays Utah State on Saturday. The Aggies are certainly a respectable team out of the Mountain West Conference. They won 11 games last year under first-year coach Blake Anderson, the third time Utah State has hit the 11-win mark since 2012.
So yes Utah State is worthy of your respect. They are solid football team.
But barring a major…I mean MAJOR catastrophe, Alabama is going to roll Utah State. It’s not going to be a competitive game unless Alabama wants it to be. Of course we’re all looking forward to Texas. It’s Alabama-Texas! It’s football royalty!
However, continue on coach.
Saban on rat poison: “What I read these guys write all the time about, ‘How can Alabama run the table?’ Can’t you figure out something better to do than that? … So, ‘How can Alabama lose to this team? How can this team beat Alabama?’ Three months from now. Who gives a shit?”

Never change, Nick Saban. Never change.
