Paul Finebaum shared his thoughts on Alabama following a big 34-20 victory vs. rival Tennessee during a recent appearance on McElroy and Cubelic In The Morning.

No. 9 Alabama has now won 6 straight games since its lone loss of the season against Texas in Week 2. The ESPN analyst believes Alabama fans should start to feel more confident about the Crimson Tide.

“I think it’s time to quit obsessing over what’s wrong and start concentrating on what’s right with this team. There’s a lot that is,” Finebaum said. “I think with each step on this ladder, it’s felt a little more comfortable and I think the outlook has been brighter.”

Alabama has defeated South Florida, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Tennessee while sitting atop the SEC West standings.

“I think right now you have to accept the fact that since that very treacherous moment in the early part of the season, post-Texas and around the South Florida game, this team has gotten a lot better,” Finebaum said. “The coaching staff seems to be aligned after all the hullabaloo, some of it real and some of it imagined early on.”

The Alabama-LSU showdown on Nov. 4 will have massive implications. Yet, Finebaum is riding the Crimson Tide wave, with a prediction that Alabama will reach the SEC title game.

“The path is pretty clear,” Finebaum said. “The percentages favor Alabama and I think the momentum favors Alabama right now to get back to Atlanta.”
