You get the feeling Alabama takes extra pride in this one.

Last season when the Crimson Tide travelled to Austin to take on Texas the Longhorns placed Alabama’s fans in the upper deck of Texas Memorial Stadium. Because they would have also been located in the upper deck – far from the playing surface – Alabama didn’t even bother sending the Million Dollar Band to Austin in 2022.

Now, it’s time for some ‘reciprocation,’ as Alabama AD Greg Byrne told the Tuscaloosa News Monday. Because the Longhorns aren’t in the SEC yet, the Crimson Tide doesn’t have to meet SEC requirement of setting aside at least 2,000 visiting tickets for the lower level of Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Take a guess where Byrne and Co. are going to put the band and Longhorn fans this Saturday.

“We are able to reciprocate a similar seating arrangement to what we had last year in Austin,” Byrne said.

College football is truly incredible. The Tide face their first test of the season Saturday when the Longhorns come to town, with the game set to kick at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
