Peter Burns can’t remember a time when he was as fired up about a game that he didn’t have a dog in the hunt for, and that extends to the SEC Championship Game and College Football Playoff.
The SEC Network commentator is ready for the Alabama-Tennessee game, and he was as soon as last week’s games were over. Burns noted that the StubHub get-in price for the game in Neyland Stadium is $350.
“There’s something that feels real about it,” Burns said on SiriusXM. “As opposed to the last couple of years we tried to make Georgia and Kentucky a thing. You never know, but we kind of knew. We were trying to build it up, but I don’t feel like you need to build up Alabama and Tennessee so far this year, and I can’t recall the last time I was this pumped up for a game.”
#3 Alabama (6-0) @ #6 Tennessee (5-0) on Saturday. @PeterBurnsESPN is beyond fired up for this one.
