Alabama is the No. 1 overall seed in this year’s tournament. It’s the 1st time in program history that Alabama has been on the No. 1 line.
If Davis’ prediction comes true, Alabama will have made history in another way, too. The Tide have never been to the Final Four. They’ve only been as far as the Elite Eight once in program history, and that was back in 2004.
Alabama has only made the 2nd weekend of the tournament twice in the last 30 years. It went to the Elite Eight in 2004 and the Sweet 16 in 2021.
Alabama will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the 1st round on Thursday. If the Tide win that game, they will face either Maryland or West Virginia for the chance to reach their 3rd Sweet 16 since 1991.
Tipoff against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is set for 2:45 p.m. ET on Thursday.
