On Wednesday, Alabama 5-star freshman DE Antonio Alfano’s name was removed from the Tide’s online roster.
That was not entirely unexpected, as Alfano has been missing from the team for a few weeks now, with no one sure exactly what was going on.
Now, it appears Alfano is officially exploring options, as it was reported that his name appeared in the NCAA transfer portal:

Alfano was the highest rated player in Alabama’s 2019 recruiting class, but it appears he’ll exit Tuscaloosa without ever making an impact.
Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but it appears this strange saga has closed its Alabama chapter.
