The long list of current or former Nick Saban assistants turned head coaches could grow yet again before 2017 is over.

Former Alabama WR coach (and current Arizona State OC) Billy Napier has been offered the head coaching job at Louisiana-Lafayette, according to a report by 247Sports. The report states it’s a five-year offer, but no financial terms were included.

Arizona State recently hired ESPN analyst (and former NFL coach) Herm Edwards as its next head coach. Napier, along with the rest of the staff, was retained, and Napier was actually promoted and given a two-year contract.

Napier is one of four coaches who had interviewed for the Ragin Cajuns vacancy, according to FootballScoop. The program fired Mark Hudspeth after seven seasons at the school. Hudspeth was recently hired as an assistant at Mississippi State.

Napier coached Alabama’s WRs from 2013-17, and it’ll be interesting to see who ULL ends up hiring.
