Report: Former Alabama QB Layne Hatcher already has chosen new school
Former Alabama QB Layne Hatcher reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, and it didn’t take him long to find a new school.
Per a tweet from RedWolfReport.com, Hatcher is heading back to a program that had a lot of interest in him during the 2018 recruiting cycle.
Per the tweets, Hatcher will play at Arkansas State moving forward — the school he was committed to before he received an Alabama offer:

Hatcher didn’t appear in any games for the Tide in 2018, redshirting behind starting QB Tua Tagovailoa and backups Jalen Hurts and Mac Jones.
Now, he’ll return to a school he knows well and try to find his way into more playing time moving forward.
