Marijuana has been legalized in California, but it is still illegal in Alabama.

Former Alabama LB Reuben Foster learned that the hard way on Friday night in Tuscaloosa, as he was arrested for marijuana possession.

According to TideSports.com, Foster was held on $2,500 bail for his offense.

Foster was a first-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers and played in 10 games, recording 72 tackles.

It is unclear how the 49ers will handle this offense, as Foster wouldn’t have been arrested in California.

However, laws are different everywhere, and it’s up to Foster to know that and respect it. Now, he’ll have to face the consequences.
