Alabama’s staff is still undergoing changes.

OregonLive.com is reporting that Oregon has hired Nick Saban’s right-hand man Bobby Williams. Williams has served in a number of different capacities for Saban during his tenure, including both on-field and off-field coaching roles. Most recently, Williams served as Saban’s special assistant in 2017.

Williams has been with Saban since his Michigan State days, and he’s leaving for a job to join former Alabama staffer Mario Cristobal, who is now the head coach at Oregon. Williams is set to become the Ducks’ TEs coach, moving back to an on-field coaching role.

When Saban left Michigan State for LSU, Williams took over the head coaching job and was fired after three seasons. He then followed Saban to LSU, the Miami Dolphins and Alabama.

Alabama’s staff will look a lot different in 2018. DC Jeremy Pruitt left for Tennessee, and DBs coach Derrick Ansley left for the Raiders. OC Brian Daboll also went back to the NFL to become a coordinator with the Bills. Alabama hired WRs coach Josh Gattis, DBs coach Karl Scott and defensive assistant Pete Golding this off-season. Saban also promoted Mike Locksley to full-time OC, while reports surfaced Thursday that the Tide will add former Arkansas OC Dan Enos as its next QBs coach.
