Super Bowl rosters will have plenty of SEC flavor on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs square off in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

There will be 24 former players from current SEC institutions are on the active rosters. An additional 6 former players are on practice squads/injured reserve.

Florida and Georgia have the most players in the Super Bowl, with all 5 former Bulldogs on active rosters.

Across the board, 13 SEC schools will have at least one former player represented. Georgia and LSU are tied for the nation’s longest active streak of 23 consecutive seasons with at least one former player on one of the Super Bowl rosters.

A representative from an SEC program has been named MVP of the Super Bowl 5 times since 2006.
