Though Alabama has a dynamic freshman quarterback in Bryce Young, Mac Jones is the guy most likely to start Week 1 at Mizzou.

Jones has plenty of experience after backing up Tua Tagovailoa last year (and eventually taking over after an injury), so he’ll be tasked with leading an Alabama offense that has plenty of weapons.

On Saturday morning, SEC Network analyst Tim Tebow said on “SEC Nation” that Jones has the potential to be a breakout star in 2020 (via 247Sports):

“We’ve talked about how heroes need to step up,” Tebow said. “One of those heroes could be Mac Jones. Every opportunity he’s had, he has stepped up and he has performed. People want to go back to the Iron Bowl and the two picks. Yeah, but he led his team down the field over and over again. This kid is for real, not only because he’s a Jacksonville boy, but because he’s a baller. I think he has a chance to step up and be one of the best players in the SEC this year.”

Jones will have RB Najee Harris and WRs DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle to work with this fall, and those are some dynamic weapons to utilize.

How will he fare? And how much will we see Young in action? We’ll find out starting next weekend at Mizzou.
