Trio of Alabama defenders brings Tide portal count to 9 entrants since Rose Bowl
The transfer exodus continues for Alabama, as nine total players have entered the portal since the Rose Bowl. This brings the total count of departing Alabama players via the portal to 14.
Three of the players that entered today reside on the defensive side of the ball.
Defensive lineman Monkell Goodwine (6-4, 290 pounds) redshirted in 2021 before appearing in three games over the next two years with Alabama. Goodwine was rated as a 4-star recruit and the top player from the state of Maryland (Upper Marlboro) in the Class of 2021.
Earl Little II redshirted in 2022 due to injury and was both a rotational member of the defensive back room and a special teams contributor for the Tide in 2023. He was a former 4-star prospect out American Heritage High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. and is the son of former NFL defensive back Earl Little.
Kristian Story was the Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year in 2019 and rated as a 4-star athlete who played quarterback in high school. He did not see the field in 2020 and was mainly a special teams contributor for the past three seasons, although he recorded a career-high 15 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT and 2 pass breakups this past season.
