Miami has become synonymous with its famous Turnover Chain, which players get to wear on the sideline after the force a turnover.

Well, one Miami player thought he had earned the chain after recovering what appeared to be a fumble late in the second quarter of Saturday afternoon’s game.

The problem? The call was overturned and it was ruled that the Alabama player hadn’t fumbled after all. That led to this funny moment where the player had to give the chain back:

It was a rough first half for the Hurricanes, who trail 27-3 at the intermission. We’ll see if the turnover chain makes an appearance in the second half. Maybe this one will stick.
