Vandarius Cowan, former Alabama and West Virginia LB, commits to Big Ten school
Vandarius Cowan started his college football career at Alabama in 2017, recording 2 total tackles in 2 games.
He then transferred to West Virginia, sitting out the 2018 season before playing the next 3 years for the Mountaineers. Now, he’s on the move again.
As you can see below, Maryland officially announced the addition of Cowan to its roster on Thursday morning:

In 3 years at West Virginia, Cowan recorded 38 tackles (6.5 for a loss) and 4 sacks. He was a 4-star linebacker in the 2017 recruiting class out of Florida.
Mike Locksley, Maryland’s current head coach, was a member of Alabama’s offensive coaching staff back in 2017, so he is familiar with Cowan from their time together in Tuscaloosa.
