Nick Saban’s recruiting machine in Tuscaloosa never stops and never fails to look ahead. The latest example of that comes from the commitment of 2020 lineman prospect Jayson Jones from Calera.

The big lineman announced his commitment to Alabama’s future recruiting class in a creative way on Monday — by trolling Georgia, of course.

In a video produced by AL.com and posted on YouTube, which features a guest appearance from the one and only Funny Maine, Jones actually commits to Georgia only to reveal his true commitment to the Crimson Tide. Check it out here.

Alabama’s latest prospect seemed to enjoy the needling he did with that one:

Jones, Alabama’s No. 1 overall prospect for the 2020 recruiting cycle, gives the Crimson Tide commitments from three of the state’s top five prospects as Saban’s program already held pledges from receiver Dazalin Worsham and linebacker Jackson Bratton. The commitment also elevates Alabama to the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class for the 2020 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-5, 322-pound Jones is rated as an early four-star prospect, the No. 3 overall defensive tackle recruit in the country the No. 55 overall prospect for the 2020 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jones already holds scholarship offers from Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida State and Michigan among others.

His sophomore season highlight reel is full of impressive plays that show why he’s the state’s most coveted prospect for the 2020 recruiting cycle.
