It didn’t take long for Tua Tagovailoa to show why he earned the starting QB spot for Alabama.

Nick Saban elected not to announce who the starter was ahead of game time. Instead, everyone found out Tagovailoa was starting when he trotted out to take the first snap of the game.

All Tagovailoa did was march the Crimson Tide right down the field for an opening touchdown against Louisville’s defense, and what a touchdown it was! Tagovailoa danced around in the pocket to avoid pressure before slinging a pass to WR Jerry Jeudy in the corner of the end zone.

CBS Sports shared the video of Tagovailoa’s play:

Tagovailoa was shaken up on the play after a late hit, but he was able to walk off the field under his own power. No update has been given, but he appeared to hit his head hard on the turf.
