The Early Signing Period for the 2022 recruiting class has ended, with Alabama having essentially signed all of its verbal commitments in what is yet another stellar crop of prospects for Nick Saban and his staff.

But the 2023 class will be ready to sign before you know it. And Saban could have his first verbal commitment for next year in the fold in a matter of days.

Zachariah Branch, ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 wide receiver in the country, has set his commitment date for Friday, Dec. 24. The star wideout for national power Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas will choose between the Tide, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC, as he revealed in early December.

Branch made 48 catches for 1,094 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior in the 2021 season. He also showed his prowess in the return game, bringing back 2 punts for touchdowns.
