In May, former Arkansas OL Sebastian Tretola and Titans teammate Tajae Sharpe were sued for $500,000 after being accused of assaulting a man following an argument over the 2017 NFL Draft.

The lawsuit alleged that the victim, Dante Satterfield, Tretola and Sharpe were at the Tin Roof in Nashville discussing the addition of first-round draft pick Corey Davis when Satterfield allegedly made comments about Davis taking Sharpe’s playing time. A heated argument broke out, and Sharpe and Tretola allegedly asked Satterfield to join them outside. Satterfield accused the two men of beating him up. Sharpe allegedly punched him in the face to the point of unconsciousness while Tretola was the lookout.

Now, Tretola and Sharpe filed a suit against Satterfield saying he started the whole thing and they only acted in self-defense. The documents of the counterclaim received by WKRN.com say that Satterfield approached the two men in the bar and followed them outside, claiming to be in a gang and threatening them. They didn’t refute the physical confrontation and are asking for damages and a jury trial.

Neither Sharpe or Tretola have been charged in the case.

Satterfield’s attorney released a statement Friday: “When my client sued Mr. Sharpe, his agent told the media that Sharpe ‘wasn’t even there at the time [my client] was allegedly beaten up.’ In today’s court filing, Sharpe changes his story entirely and says he was there but acted in self-defense. We are confident that an impartial jury will be able to make out what actually happened that night.”
