When the Arkansas House of Representatives recently passed HB 1249, it caused waves in the SEC sports world.

That’s because the bill allowed for concealed weapons to be carried on college campuses, which many felt would lead to guns being allowed at Razorbacks’ sporting events.

However, the state Senate proposed SB 724, which amended HB 1249 to exclude college sporting events.

On Thursday evening, the Arkansas House passed SB 724 by a vote of 71 to 20:

However, it was quickly noted that the bill still has to go back to the state senate for final approval:

When the bill will return to the Senate for a vote has yet to be determined, but if it has this much support from the House, it will likely pass, which means no concealed weapons will be allowed at any University of Arkansas sporting event.
