Brady Tygart had a crucial relief appearance for Arkansas in the season opener against Texas. After the win, he had a special shoutout for Razorback fans in attendance.

Friday’s season opener was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Though playing in the home state of the Longhorns, Tygart highlighted how Razorback fans traveled and outnumbered the Longhorn contingent for the game.

“Something special about being a Razorback, man. We’re playing Texas in their home state and our fans outnumber them 3, 4 to 1,” said Tygart. “Special group to play for.”

In Friday’s game, Tygart came out of the bullpen to preserve a 3-2 win for the Razorbacks. He went 1.2 innings pitched without allowing a hit while striking out 3 to record the save.

The Razorbacks return to action to face TCU Saturday evening. Arkansas will finish out the trip to Arlington with a Sunday afternoon matchup against Oklahoma State before returning for Tuesday’s home opener.
