Burt ball could be returning to college football.

Bret Bielema has been out of college and coaching in the NFL the previous two seasons after being dismissed by Arkansas following the conclusion of the 2017 season in which the Razorbacks sputtered to a 4-8 season and a 1-7 league record. Bielema finished his tenure at Arkansas with a 29-34 record after going 68-24 at Wisconsin from 2006-2012.

Following his dismissal in Fayetteville, Bielema landed a job with the New England Patriots during the 2018 and 2019 seasons before landing a job coaching outside linebackers with the New York Giants this offseason but it appears the former Arkansas coach may not even coach a game with the Giants.

That’s because Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that Bielema is interviewing for the open head coaching job at Colorado. Following that report, Adam Rittenberg of ESPN is reporting that Bielema has emerged as a candidate for the Colorado job.

Bielema landing another coaching job could be relevant to Arkansas based on the fact the school is contractually obligated to pay its former coach buyout money until Dec. 31, 2020, although it should be noted the school reportedly stopped paying the coach’s buyout figure last year.

Either way, it appears Bielema could soon be making his return to college football.
