Early Wednesday afternoon, FootballScoop.com reported Nebraska officials were targeting Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema to be its next head coach.

ESPN college football writer Chris Low reported later Wednesday that Bielema would be staying put, however.

Bielema is in his second year in Fayetteville, and led the Razorbacks to a 6-6 season this year. Arkansas is bowl eligible for the first time since 2011.

The Hogs stumbled to a three-win season in Bielema’s first season, but showed marked improvement in 2014.
