Jordan Walsh is headed to the NBA.

Walsh made that announcement late Wednesday evening, just hours before the deadline to withdraw from the draft. He spent 1 season with the Razorbacks.

Here’s his announcement:

Walsh is primarily a defensive prospect at this stage of his development, but he has the potential to grow into a well-rounded player on both ends of the court.

Last season, he averaged 7.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He also recorded 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks per contest.

He’s listed at 6-foot-7. He projects to be a versatile player who can defend multiple positions at the next level.

The 2023 NBA Draft will be held on June 22.

What this means for Arkansas

This outcome was always a possibility, so Arkansas is well-prepared for Walsh’s departure.

The Razorbacks have already signed 5 transfers this offseason. Their list of additions includes 6-foot-7 Jeremiah Davenport from Cincinnati, who could be an option to replace Walsh in the rotation next year.

Arkansas could also still add more help on the wing via the transfer portal this offseason.
