Sam Pittman provided an update Wednesday on the status of quarterback Taylen Green ahead of the Week 8 game against LSU. The Arkansas quarterback’s status remains up in the air after a bye week in which he has had over a week to recover from a knee injury.

“(Taylen is) still not full speed yet, but we certainly think there’s a possibility that he can get there. We’ll have to wait and see there. We have two more practices and a walk, but have been encouraged about his progression.”

The good news for Arkansas is that Green has been practicing and appears to be making progress.

โ€œTaylen practiced,โ€ Pittman said on the SEC coach’s teleconference. โ€œFirst was a walkthrough, which he would be practicing whether he was healthy or not, you know, in that. Heโ€™s practiced each day.โ€

Green has been effective for the Razorbacks to this point in the season, currentlyย 107-for-189 (56.6%) passing for 1,502 yards. He has 5 touchdowns and has picked up 326 yards on the ground.

Whether or not Green is good to go on Saturday as the Razorbacks prepare to face the Tigers at 7 p.m. ET in Fayetteville. If not, the team is expected to continue rolling with Malachi Singleton at quarterback.
