Sam Pittman was asked Wednesday afternoon if Rocket Sanders would be available for Arkansas on Saturday against Florida in Gainesville.

The star running back has not been able to show what he’s made of this season as he continues to ail from a left knee injury. He’s appeared in just 3 games, with 91 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns on his 2023 ledger.

When asked about Sanders’ availability for Week 10 against the Gators, here’s what Pittman had to say:

“There’s a chance that he’ll be available,” Pittman said. “He has practiced Monday and Tuesday. Limited basis, but he has practiced, so we’re hopeful that he’ll be available on Saturday.”

If Sanders does go, it’s unlikely he will be 100%. It’s a tough break for someone who has been one of the SEC’s best running backs across the past few seasons.

The Gators are flawed but playing good football right now despite a one-sided loss to Georgia. But it’s hard to flaw the Gators for dropping to the No. 2 team in the country per the recent CFP ranking.

Arkansas and Florida will face off at Noon on ESPN from Gainesville. If Sanders is unable to go, expect a lot of carries from Rashod Dubinion.
