Sam Pittman is not concerned about his position as head coach at Arkansas despite what has been a miserable season.

The Razorbacks have lost 7 of their last 8 games, dropping Saturday’s game against Auburn in blowout fashion. It’s fair to assume Pittman is on the hot seat after the dreadful season, but he explained why he’s not concerned after the game.

Pittman said that he’s not concerned about his job security because of the relationship that he has with the players on his team.

“I’m not, and let me say why,” Pittman said in his postgame press conference. “Because it’s never been about me being the head coach, it’s been about me and these kids. To answer your question, no I’m not.”

While Pittman is not concerned about his job security, a few wins to close out the season could help him hold onto his job heading into the offseason. Arkansas plays FIU next week before closing out the season with a tough game against Missouri.
