Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl has closed another part of his life in Tennessee.

The former Tennessee men’s basketball coach has reportedly sold his West Knoxville home for $882,000, Knoxnews.com reported. Ultimately, Pearl sold it for a loss after he bought the house for more than $1.1 million in 2014. The house, located at 9238 Linksvue Drive, previously had a series of leases and was also listed for sale over the years.

“He had a hard time letting go of Knoxville and wanted to invest in real estate,” realtor Debbie Elliott-Sexton was quoted as saying. “The last time we had a lease, at the end of it he said, ‘Let’s go ahead and sell it.'”

Pearl coached at Tennessee from 2005-06 to 2010-11, and has coached at Auburn since the 2014-15 season.

Earlier this summer, Pearl signed a contract extension through the 2022-23 season. Last season, Auburn went 26–8 and snapped a 15-year NCAA tournament drought.
