The Auburn Tigers and head coach Bryan Harsin got some good news ahead of the Early Signing Period. Defensive tackle Enyce Sledge has announced his commitment to the Tigers.

The 3-star recruit from Monroe, Louisiana (Neville) is the No. 43 recruit in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Sledge, who is listed at 6-foot-3 1/2 and 315 pounds, explained why he chose Auburn.

“What I like the most is how they care about person over player and how they want guys that want to work hard and succeed,” according to 247 Sports via Auburn Undercover.

A visit to campus seemly sealed the deal.

โ€œOff the field theyโ€™re cool, but they showed when they get back to this Auburn facility itโ€™s time to work,โ€ he said. โ€œThat stood out to me. When they got here they kind of stayed the same. They told me theyโ€™re going to be the same way on and off the field, but when itโ€™s time theyโ€™ll put that coaching hat on and go to work.โ€

Sledge was first committed to Baylor before he decommitted and chose Auburn.

Here are his highlights from Hudl:
