Bo Nix has big first half; draws praise from fans on social media

Bo Nix is having a big first half for the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn holds a 37-0 lead over the Akron Zips, and Nix is having himself a day. Through 2 quarters, he’s completed 18 of his 20 passes for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns.

For a guy who was pushed by LSU transfer TJ Finley for the starting job this offseason, Nix is looking like the competition did him a lot of good.

And, fans are liking what they’re seeing from their QB1 thus far. With the caveat that yes, this is only against Akron, here are some of the reactions to Nix’s first-half performance:

Guess so. Nix is 18-for-20 passing for 255 yards and three touchdowns and Auburn leads Akron 37-0.

I personally like Gus but seeing Bo Nix do this in his first game under a new coach is not a great look for him.

This looks like the five-star that was promised three years ago. Bad opponent or not.

That was a fun first half, albeit against a lesser opponent. Definitely a different-looking Auburn team.

I used to be a fan of Bo Nix, but after that 1st half, I’m a whole ass air conditioner. He is unequivocally the best qb in the country.
