Auburn has dismissed senior wide receiver Duke Williams, according to a press release.
“When individuals fail to meet the expectations of our program, there has to be consequences,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. “I gave D’haquille the chance to prove himself. I am disappointed that it did not work out.”
Williams had 12 receptions for 147 yards and a touchdown this season.
Williams was suspended from the team earlier this fall during camp and was held out of last year’s bowl game for violating team rules.
The Tigers, finally, had enough.
