Dematrius Davis, former Auburn QB, announces in-state transfer destination

Dematrius Davis was a freshman at Auburn this past season, but wasn’t able to get on the field for the Tigers.
Now, the highly touted former 4-star quarterback out of Texas has entered the transfer portal. And, on Monday, he announced he had chosen a new school.
As you can see below, Davis took to Twitter on Monday night to announce he was staying in the Yellowhammer State and committing to Alabama State:

Davis was the No. 24 quarterback in the 2021 class and the No. 35 overall recruit from the state of Texas, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
Alabama State went 5-6 last season and posted a 3-5 mark in the SWAC.
