Auburn now has eight commitments in the 2020 recruiting cycle as Florida native Elijah Canion announced his pledge to join Gus Malzahn’s program on Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Chaminade-Madonna Prep product out of Hollywood, Fla., commits to Auburn over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Cincinnati, and FAU. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Canion as a three-star prospect and the No. 73 receiver in the country.

“First and foremost, all glory goes to God as without him, none of this would be possible. I would like to thank Chaminade-Madonna, my coaches and the Gold feet family for developing me into the student-athlete I am today. I appreciate all the college coaches who gave me an opportunity to compete at their university. Lastly, I would like to thank my family, especially my mother for the endless love and support they give me. With that being said, I am proud to announce my commitment to the Auburn University!”
