Everything Gus Malzahn said about Auburn's QB competition on Tuesday
The hottest topic on The Plains this spring is the Auburn quarterback battle, as everyone wants to know who will replace Jarrett Stidham as the starter.
On Tuesday, coach Gus Malzahn spoke with reporters as the Tigers enter their second week of spring practice, and quarterbacks came up early and often.
He said all four quarterbacks — Bo Nix, Joey Gatewood, Malik Willis and Cord Sandberg — have still been working evenly, and separation may start to occur in Saturday’s scrimmage:
In non-basketball news, Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn said all four quarterbacks are still rotating evenly. First scrimmage of the spring is Saturday. That will be a big first step in evaluation, and it's possible they could go live.

He added that all four quarterbacks are eager to do what it takes to win the starting job:

Who will win the starting job? It’s still anyone’s guess, but we may start getting explanations after Saturday.
