Former Auburn QB Jonathan Wallace was coaching tight ends at Air Force last season, but now he’s on his way to a Power 5 staff.

The Kansas Jayhawks announced via Twitter on Tuesday evening that Wallace was heading to Lawrence to join Les Miles’ staff.

As you can see below, Wallace will serve as the Jayhawks’ special teams coordinator and running backs coach:

“Jonathan is a detail-oriented coach, who is also a dynamic recruiter,” Miles said in a statement. “He has experience with a championship caliber football program as both a player and a coach and knows the intricacies of the offensive scheme we want to run. Additionally, he has a strong understanding of what we want to accomplish in all phases of the kicking game.”

Wallace played quarterback at Auburn from 2012 to 2014 before switching to receiver for his senior season in 2015. He then served as a graduate assistant on the Auburn staff for 2 years.
