It took more than seven quarters, but the Dallas Renegades finally have a touchdown, thanks to former Auburn running back Cameron Artis-Payne. The 21-yard scoring run gave Dallas a 13-9 lead against the Los Angeles Wildcats in the fourth quarter.

Artis-Payne followed it up with another fourth-quarter touchdown, the third score in as many possessions for the Bob Stoops-coached Renegades:

Artis-Payne, a first-team All-SEC selection in 2014, is in the XFL after four seasons in the NFL (2015-18). The Carolina Panthers selected Artis-Payne in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Artis-Payne’s rookie season proved to be his most productive, as he appeared in 7 games, logging 45 carries for 183 yards and a touchdown along with 5 receptions for 58 yards. Artis-Payne scored more touchdowns in 2016 (2) and played in more games in 2017 (13), but with fewer carries each season. In four NFL seasons, Artis-Payne carried the ball a total of 118 times for 491 yards and 5 touchdowns. The Panthers released Artis-Payne during final roster cuts ahead of the 2019 season.
