The Auburn running game is set to receive a boost this week when the Tigers kick off at Missouri.

Coach Gus Malzahn announced on Tuesday that Kerryon Johnson, who suffered a hamstring injury in the season opener against Georgia Southern, would be available Saturday night. Johnson had 16 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown in his lone game this season.

Since Johnson’s absence, Auburn has relied on Kamryn Pettway, who was suspended for the season opener. Malzahn also said he expects more running backs to receive carries against Missouri.

Pettway has 56 carries for 202 yards and three touchdowns.
