Gus Malzahn comments on heated exchange between Bo Nix, Seth Williams
Falling to the South Carolina Gamecocks, 30-22, the Auburn Tigers dropped to 2-2 on the season.
The loss was the program’s first to the Gamecocks since 1933 and, early in the third quarter, the frustration was visible on the Tiger sideline.

Sophomore quarterback Bo Nix, who barely completed 50 percent of his passes on the afternoon (24-of-47), threw three interceptions, his first multi-interception game of 2020.
Seth Williams, a junior from Cottondale, Alabama, was targeted 14 times, but finished with just four receptions.
Speaking with reporters on Sunday, head coach Gus Malzahn addressed the spat between two of his program’s leaders.
Gus Malzahn said Bo Nix and Seth Williams will “do a better job of channeling that emotional energy” next time so they don’t get into a spat on the sideline again.

Set to travel to Oxford to battle the Ole Miss Rebels in their second consecutive road game on Saturday, Malzahn also expressed his continued faith in Nix, who was the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year in 2019.
"I'm very confident he won't make the same mistakes again," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said about QB Bo Nix and his struggles on the road against South Carolina.
