Auburn’s offensive line will face its toughest test to date on Saturday when the Tigers take on Florida in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The Gators defense is tied for second in the FBS with 24 sacks and are an athletic group up front.

Gus Malzahn knows it will be a great task for his five offensive lineman to keep the Gators aggressive front at bay on Saturday.

“They [Florida] have some real guys rushing the passer, not that the guys we played before didn’t, but they’re very aggressive, get up field and pin their ears back,” Malzahn said. “They are pretty impressive to watch on film.”

The offense will also have to deal with the incredible crowd noise that The Swamp is famous for, but Malzahn and his team, who have already trekked into Kyle Field in front of the 12th Man and walked out with a victory, have been preparing for the atmosphere.

“We’ve been working crowd noise for six weeks,” the coach said.

Auburn has only allowed Bo Nix to get sacked five times this season and the offensive line has seemingly improved each game, with the best performance coming this past Saturday against Mississippi State. The Tigers put together a total effort, with Nix throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for another while Boobie Whitlow scored three times on the ground in a 56-23 rout.

The Tigers will be tested, but with five seniors who all returned as starters from last season, they should be up for the challenge.
