Sad news to pass along: Jeff Klein has passed away, according to former Auburn teammate, Cole Cubelic.
Cubelic tweeted the news of the former Auburn quarterback’s passing.
We lost a good one today.
It was an honor to play in front of you, a privilege to be your friend,
And a joy to watch the husband, father & coach you had become.
Rest easy 9. Your boys will know your legacy. We love you.

Last week, Cubelic shared the news that a GoFundMe page was set up for Klein and his family after the former Tiger quarterback checked into a Columbus, Georgia hospital with “severe back pain.”
Cubelic reminded his followers Wednesday that Klein’s wife and children still need help, asking for assistance from those who are able to donate. Klein was most recently teaching and coaching at Loachapoka High School in Alabama. The GoFundMe page mentions that the family is currently without a sustainable source of income. At the time of publishing, the GoFundMe has raised more than $136,000 off of over 1,200 donations.
