Morris Joseph, Memphis DL with starting experience, announces SEC transfer destination

Morris Joseph will continue to be a Tiger. The Memphis transfer defensive lineman announced his pledge to Auburn on Wednesday via his Twitter account.

Joseph spent 3 seasons at Memphis, appearing in 35 games. Over the past 2 seasons, he logged 19 starts.

Over 3 seasons at Memphis, Joseph logged 117 tackles and 10.5 sacks. Joseph’s most productive season was in 2020 when he made 52 tackles (10.5 TFL) including 7 sacks, receiving All-American Athletic Conference Honorable-Mention recognition.

Joseph is coming off of a 2021 season in which he made 38 tackles (4.5 TFL) and 1.5 sacks over 10 games (9 starts). Phil Steele named Joseph 2021 Fourth-Team All-AAC.

Joseph, from Orange, Texas, previously announced a transfer commitment to Georgia Tech on March 24.
