As the Auburn Tigers prepare for Monday’s Peach Bowl against UCF, they now face some bad news regarding a highly rated 2018 commit.

According to ThePlainsman.com, 4-star 2018 LB Richard Jibunor was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of DUI and failure to maintain lane.

The report says Jibunor was taken to the Athens-Clarke County Jail in his native Georgia before being released later that morning:

Jibunor was booked in the Athens-Clarke County jail at 4:38 a.m. EST. He was released on a $2,000 bond at 7:18 a.m. local time.

Jibunor did not sign with the Tigers during the early signing period this month, but was still firmly committed to Auburn.

Coach Gus Malzahn has yet to release a statement on the arrest.

According to the 247Sports composite, Jibunor is the No. 13 athlete in the class of 2018 and the No. 32 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.
