Report: Former Auburn star Jared Harper signs two-way contract with NBA team
This past season, Auburn PG Jared Harper was a huge reason the Tigers advanced to their first Final Four in school history.
Harper went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, but landed an opportunity to play for the Phoenix Suns’ squad in the NBA Summer League.
Now, it appears he’s done enough to impress the Suns. Per a report on Wednesday, Harper has signed a two-way contract with the Suns:
Jared Harper has agreed to a two-way contract with the #Suns, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA. Harper, who helped lead Auburn to the Final Four, averaged 10.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 21.8 minutes per game over Phoenix’s four Summer League games.

NBA rosters have 17 spots, but two of them are “two-way” spots, meaning the players play for both the G-League and NBA squad. Players make more when they suit up for the pro squad and then receive a lesser salary when they’re with the G-League team.
How much will we see Harper with the Suns this coming season? That remains to be seen, but they’re a young team, so Harper should have some opportunities to shine.
