It looks like Anthony Schwartz wasn’t the only Auburn wide receiver injured in practice over the weekend.

Matt Zenitz of AL.com reports that Eli Stove injured his knee in this weekend’s practice. While Schwartz could need surgery, the AL.com report states that Stove’s injury is believed to be minor. Schwartz and Stove may both miss practices, but in Stove’s case he would reportedly only be held out on a precautionary basis.

It’s understandable that Auburn would err on the side of caution with any injury to Stove’s knees. The speedy redshirt junior is coming off an ACL injury which sidelined him for all but three games of the 2018 season. Stove was back in action this spring, recording four catches for 63 yards a touchdown in the A-Day spring game.

The class of 2016 signee out of Niceville, Florida has played in 29 games for the Tigers, recording 446 rushing yards on 41 carries (10.9 yards per carry) and 506 receiving yards on 55 receptions (9.2 yards per catch) in his two-plus seasons on the Plains.
