Robby Ashford is reportedly done with Auburn football after entering the portal, per On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos.

Ashford spent the last 2 season with the Tigers after transferring from Oregon. He became the starter last season after the loss to Penn State. Ashford appeared in 22 games with Auburn accounting for 1,758 yards passing, 927 yards rushing, and 21 total touchdowns.

Auburn decided to move on from Ashford as the starting quarterback this year for Michigan State transfer Payton Thorne. However, Ashford was still a valuable weapon in the offense.

Ashford in the regular season completed 51.9% of his passes with 2 passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns.

Ashford has not yet graduated from Auburn and, so as a two-time transfer, could face challenges to play next season based on NCAA rules.

The Tigers finished the regular season at 6-6 and will now face Maryland in the Music City Bowl. Auburn missed out on a bowl game last season with a 5-7 record after parting ways with former head coach Bryan Harsin halfway through the year.

This upcoming bowl game will be the 1st matchup between the Tigers and Terrapins since 1983. Kickoff from Nissan Stadium will be on Dec. 30.
