Auburn players are rallying around the idea of an orange-out this week against Penn State, and that the Tigers could wear orange jerseys.

Owen Pappoe said he’s been told Auburn is planning a uniform surprise this year, but he’s on board with the idea.

“I’ve mentioned it to them a couple of times, including last year.”

Meanwhile, Derick Hall is also supportive of going all-in on the orange: “I’m ready for Auburn fans to jump on this orange-out game.”

For context, it was 1978 against Georgia when Auburn wore those orange jerseys. Auburn and Georgia tied 22-22.

After last year’s game at Penn State, the Auburn players noted the atmosphere, and are looking forward to matching or exceeding it this time on The Plains.

Hall said, “Penn State believes they have one of the best environments in college football, but obviously we have the best. “I know our Orange Out is going to be better than their Whiteout.”
