Former Auburn QB Nick Marshall is trying to keep his professional career going north of the border in the CFL, and he’s doing it on defense.

Marshall, a talented athlete, is playing defensive back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and on Friday night, he made a big play in what became a 27-19 win for his squad.

As you can see below, he snags an interception in his team’s territory and takes it all the way back to the end zone for a score:

Marshall is also taking snaps at quarterback during practice, making sure he’s ready for anything. He recently told Riderville.com that he’s used to being a two-way player:

“I did it in high school and all of my life coming up,” he said. “Whatever you put your mind to, you can do it.

“I don’t think about (moving back and forth) and feel sorry for myself. If they want me to do it, I’ll do it.”

Marshall is showing he’s a threat when he has the ball in his hands, so Saskatchewan may start giving him more opportunities to make plays as the season goes on.
