Bob Huggins will no longer coach West Virginia basketball, according to multiple reports. The news comes after the Hall of Fame coach was arrested for DUI on Friday night.

Jeff Goodman of Stadium was first to report that Huggins informed his Mountaineers team that he would not be their coach next season. Matt Norlander of CBS adds that Huggins, 69, will be retiring from coaching.

Through the 2022-23 season, Huggins was the winningest active head coach with 935 victories. A Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee in 2022, Huggins has been a head coach at Walsh (1980-83), Akron (1984-89), Cincinnati (1989-2005), Kansas State (2006-07) and West Virginia (2007-present), posting a record of 935-414.

The DUI arrest is the second time this offseason that Huggins has made headlines for the wrong reasons. Huggins was facing a suspension and agreed to a salary cut after making multiple homophobic remarks during a radio interview.
