Coming off yet a second-straight national title, Kirby Smart takes aim at title No. 3 in 2023. Stetson Bennett, Jalen Carter and other key contributors on both sides of the ball might be gone, but there’s no shortage of talent in Athens. Enjoy 1 last year of Brock Bowers at tight end before he takes his talents to the NFL!

Alabama had what was considered a down year in 2022. That is only due to the lofty expectations on a yearly basis under Nick Saban, as many schools would give everything to have an 11-win season. Still, the 2022 campaign led to big changes in Tuscaloosa, notably at both coordinator spots. Can the Tide figure out their quarterback situation and get back to the College Football Playoff?

Ohio State has perhaps the most NFL-ready talent of any team in the nation. Some early 2024 mock drafts have as many as 8 Buckeyes going in Round 1. Can Ryan Day and his coaching staff maximize that talent and make a run at a national title? We’ll see if the Buckeyes can snap a 2-year losing streak against rival Michigan in late November, too.

The Wolverines have made back-to-back appearances in the College Football Playoff under coach Jim Harbaugh. Expectations will once again be high in Ann Arbor. Can this year’s squad make it 3 wins in a row over the rival Buckeyes?
CFB Over/Under Win Total Picks
Here are a few over/under win total picks we love heading into the 2023 college football season:
- Ohio State over 10.5 wins (-105)
- Washington over 9 wins (-105)
- Oregon State under 8.5 wins (-140)
- Texas A&M over 7.5 wins (-150)
- Illinois over 6.5 wins (-120)
There are some great values on the board heading into the season. If you think Ohio State will make another Playoff run, it’s probably worth betting the Buckeyes to win at least 11 regular-season games. Washington is a sneaky good team out west that could factor into the Pac-12 title race. The Aggies are looking for a major bounce-back year after a 2022 debacle. And the Illini manage to avoid both Ohio State and Michigan.
